The lpg gas bottle refilling industry processes some 400,000 gas bottles a year, the leading operator swap n go were faced with a market that required as new bottles to be presented to the customer at its service points free of any dirt with a new paint finish for its presentation.

C&GE who have supplied gas conveyors to the industry were invited to examine Swap and Go’s current methods of production and Swap and Go visited Europe and the states for comparable equipment, Swap and Go decided that the equipment concept proposed by C&GE met with all their requirements and awarded the contract to re equip 3 of their main plants.

C&GE built prototype conveyor and bottle washer plant with painting facilities into an automatic line that is iso container based, complete with its own water treatment plant. The client retained the design concept and is now actively selling the hardware overseas. The plant has a capacity of 2400 lpg assorted 4 and 9kg bottles a shift with a reduced employee content of 50%.

The LPG gas bottling plant is typical of the type of development that C&GE employs, the understanding of the clients requirements together with a full analysis of methods to achieve the clients objectives requires a team approach, in most cases the client has the foresight and the ultimate goal in mind but lacks the team to bring the project to a successful conclusion – C&GE has that part and the understanding to achieve the results.
